We have developed the PB500 Easy PAT Tester to make it simpler for small and medium sized businesses to carry out their own PAT Testing and meet Health & Safety regulations covering Portable Appliances in the workplace.

Pushing the right button

Class I

Checks earthed appliances - look for 3 wires in the plug. Tests for earth continuity and checks insulation

Class II

Checks Class II including double insulated appliances - these have no earth wire in the plug and if they are Double Insulated have this symbol

Cord

Tests extension leads for earth continuity and insulation and checks that the lead is wired correctly

Tough and flexible

The rugged outer casing will stand up to most normal working environments and because the PB500 PAT Tester is powered by 6 x AA batteries it can be used anywhere.

Battery Check

The PB500 is powered by 6 AA batteries, which are checked before a test is performed. When the battery voltage is low the Low Batt enunciator is illuminated. The unit will continue to perform within specification for a limited number of tests, dependent upon the type of batteries fitted.

When the battery voltage reaches a level where the performance is affected the Low Batt enunciator will flash and all the test keys are disabled. The batteries must be replaced.

The hand held PB500 PAT Tester checks portable electrical appliances at the push of a button. It’s lightweight and easy to handle and battery powered for total portability.
This lead is used to connect the PB500 Easy PAT Tester to the earth point on Class I portable electrical appliances.
The quick earth finder enables you to locate the earth point on a Class I portable electrical appliance. Supplied with batteries ready to use it lights up and beeps when you have located an earth point.
