'The PB500 has proved to be very user friendly and simple to use. It is good that it is portable and light and does not take long to set up. A valuable asset to our business. We would highly recommend Parker Bell for the PAT testing training course. It was a very enjoyable day and the trainer provided a friendly atmosphere as well as clear tuition so that we were able to gain confidence and adequate knowledge. There was plenty of time for questions and discussion, the small group worked particularly well.'

You don't need to be an electrician to PAT Test. There is nothing to say that you have to attend a training course, the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) merely state that the testing must be carrried out by a competent person.
So how do you become competent? Well it boils down to having the necessary knowledge or skill to do something. For many people our instructional DVD is sufficient as it will take you through all steps of testing. If however, you are expecting your employees to carry out your company's PAT Testing, you may feel more confident knowing that you have sent them on a comprehensive course, that will ensure that they leave feeling confident and fully trained.
Our course includes:
- Discounted PB500 (save 10% when buying the kit)
- Free Course Materials
- Free refreshments and lunch
- Free Parking
- Full PAT Tester Training
- The visual inspection
- Plug and fuse training
- How to log and complete PAT Testing records
- Test frequency and other legislative information
- Plenty of hands on practical testing
The IET Code of Practice for In-service Inspections and Testing of Electrical Equipment (4th Edition) states that "The accuracy of a test instrument be verified annually or in accrodance with the manufacturer's instructions."
"Such machine testing should be carried out by a formal calibration house, and the testing of the test leads should be assessed at the time of calibration."
